Sweet Paradise Chocolatier

Today I visited Melanie Boudar on the opening day of her new store in the Wailea Gateway Shopping Center.

How exciting to put so much effort into something for nine months and then watch it blossom. Melanie has been doing artisan chocolates in Hawaii for six years. She has won the Judges Choice three years in a row at the Kona Chocolate Festival.
Her first store is located in Kailua on the island of Oahu. She learned the art of chocolate while working in her first career as a diamond buyer and gemologist in Belgium where she fell in love with chocolate.

CONGRATULATIONS, Melanie...
We are all so proud of you and inspired to see you fulfill your dream.

I purchased this wonderful eight piece collection of exotic Hawaiian artisan chocolates. Some were salty-spicy and others filled with passion-fruit, mango, coconut delight. My favorite is the rasberry filled white chocolate truffle. My husband and I enjoyed them as we proceeded through our day in Kihei, treasure hunting in thrift stores, reading at the library, (we couldn't resist sneaking another chocolate when we were in the library) the quietest, coolest place in town. Aloha everyone, And please visit The new Sweet Paradise Chocolatier in Wailea. It's beautiful!
