Heirloom Quilt

This is a copy of an 1800's hand sewn quilt. There are no copyrights on quilts more than 89 years old. Therefore one can copy them freely. People can copyright their color schemes apparently. Harriet says her techniques are not copy writable. She teaches 26 weeks of every year for over 30 years. It was an amazing information filled class. Each of the 25 of us practiced on muslin squares and batting of many types to introduce ourselves to the techniques that Harriet has used for 37 years. Machine quilting is finally becoming accepted as worthy of Heirloom quilts because of her contribution to the field...
